In 1995 Rupert Sheldrake ( who received a PhD in biochemistry) began a scientific examination of mysterious phenomena. He wrote the book Seven Experiments that Would Change the World.

In that book he explores such phenomena as "How does your dog know when you're on the way home?" "How do pigeons home?"

He also did an experiment that was especially interesting to me. In the 1990's I was involved with a network of nurses preforming Healing Touch on people in various clinics around Cincinnati. One of Sheldrakes experiments studied the reality of phantom limb. A phenomenon that occurs when a limb is amputated. The amputee maintains the sense of the limb so vividly that he can feel pain and movement in that limb. Nurses who performed healing touch on amputees could feel the energy field of that missing limb.

I guarantee that if you read this book you will find it not only eye-opening but fun to read and you will look at your dog in a new way!
