Experience using Cayenne tincture

One morning I got a frantic phone call from my 93 year old mom.

She and my dad lived in their own apartment so I was about 5 miles from

her home. She was very upset telling me that she had a bloody nose and

could not get the bleeding to stop no matter what she did. I told her I'd be there in 10 minutes.

I grabbed the Cayenne tincture from my Apothecary cabinet. Surprisingly, it turns out that Cayenne pepper is excellent in emergency situations to stop bleeding, in first aid for shock or heart attacks.

When I got to Mom's house she had a number of paper towels full of blood and she was very shaken and nervous. I told her that I was going to insert a couple drops of the tincture into one of her nostrils and it would sting a bit so "brace yourself."

I inserted the drops of tincture, she jumped a little with the surprise but in a matter of a minute or two the bleeding had stopped. I stayed for awhile to observe her condition. She calmed down and was so surprised that the bleeding had stopped so quickly!

This saved the expense of a hospital visit not to mention the hours we might have had to endure.

People are often skeptical of the ability of herbs to heal until they experience an event like this. I keep my cabinet stocked with various herbs and herbal tinctures because I never know what the next event might bring.
